Painting & Drawing Classes for young students aged 8+

Tutor: Lorna Gerard
Wednesday: 4:30pm - 6:30pm *Lorna Gerard's Junior class will start on Wednesday 5th October

“I believe that our children deserve an education rich in the arts, as it can support the development of the whole child and helps to prepare for a life filled with culture, expression and opportunities for learning and joy. Being creative helps one to tap into the right side of the brain and go with the flow so to speak. I will endeavour to teach them the basic skills of how to draw, paint, express, create and be inspired by the Master’s art and local art, whilst keeping in mind to help, support and develop their own mark making, colour and unique design in a relaxed and supportive environment.”

Fees: $145 for the nine week term (payable prior to start of term)

Tutor: Pauline Woodhouse
Saturday: 10am – 12 noon *Pauline Woodhouse's Junior class will start on Saturday 8th October

“Art and craft have been a lifelong passion for me, it’s fun, relaxing and rewarding.
I have worked in the graphic design industry since beginning my career in 1964 as a designer, illustrator and finished artist.  I have taught computer graphics and animation at TAFE level and have also run my own art gallery and art school, teaching art and sculpture to adults as well as running a children’s art and craft club four afternoons a week.
I believe teaching children is a creative opportunity to help stimulate their imagination and their freedom of expression.  It will boost their confidence while they engage in fun projects, as they learn the many aspects of composition, art and mediums, and the basics of painting and drawing, perspective and colour mixing.”
